Upon conception, the woman will always give an X chromosome, while the man has a 50% change of giving an X chromosome, and 50% chance of giving a Y chromosome. If the man gives a Y chromosome, the child will be male, if he gives an X chromosome the child will be female. It is random. So no, the man will not automatically have a male child. Also, the women he's with doesn't matter because she will always give an X chromosome.
